" Photography captures for us today what may not be there for us tomorrow." |

A native of rural Nova Scotia, self-taught photographer Patti Foley has made Bolton, Ontario her home since 1991. She finds much of her inspiration in the countryside and farms that surround the little town nestled in the beautiful Caledon hills. Whether it’s the local trailways, rustic barns or indigenous birds, her love of nature always finds a home in her photography. Although she travels in search of photo opportunities her favourite haunts remain Caledon and the Bobcaygeon area of the Kawarthas, where she and her family often escape in summer, camera in hand.
Patti's work has been exhibited in
the Whitney Gallery in the Peel Heritage Complex in Brampton, in the Town of
Caledon’s Town Hall, and at the Contact Photography Festival in Toronto. The
Contact Festival bills itself as the largest annual photography event in
North America. As well, several of her photos have been used in the
"Hills of Headwaters Visitor’s Guide", and in "Sideroads of
Caledon and Erin" magazine. In 2005 one of her winter images was selected
for the Town of Caledon’s Christmas cards. A 2-page feature about
Patti, along with a sampling of her work, appeared in fall edition of "SideRoads
of Caledon and Erin" magazine.
She also enjoys working as a
freelance photographer for the Caledon Enterprise and being the area
representative for CharityVillage.com Patti began Foley's Town and Country Photography as a small part-time venture in 2004 and it has quickly become a rewarding business with prints selling all across Ontario and even as far away as Ireland, England, Australia and South Africa. The Foley's oldest son, Jason, contributes photos on occasion as well. All fine art prints displayed in this online Photo Gallery are available for sale, framed or unframed. A passionate environmentalist, Patti spearheaded a new networking group in September 2007 for people interested in environmental issues. The group is known as Green Tea and Patti donates a framed print to the Silent Auctions held at these events. To purchase prints or inquire about photography services see our Contact page.
